Cloisters Summer Internship Program for College Students

This nine-week internship is awarded each summer to college students interested in art and museum careers who enjoy working with children. Interns are responsible for conducting gallery workshops for New York City day campers and for developing a public gallery talk.

Intensive training sessions on the collection and museum teaching practices; visits with curators, conservators, and other museum staff; field trips and hands-on workshops in techniques of medieval art.

Compensation: approximately $3,750

Open to current undergraduate juniors and seniors, recent undergraduate graduates from a bachelor's or associate's program, and master's-level graduate students. Individuals must have completed their undergraduate or graduate degrees no more than one year prior to the application deadline. Current freshmen and sophomores are not eligible to apply for this internship, but may apply for an unpaid internship.

Non-U.S. citizens must offer proof of legal status to work in the United States.
