Carnegie Endowment for International Peace - Global Intern Summer Program: Carnegie-Tsinghua Center
The Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy is seeking highly qualified and motivated students to apply for its Summer Internship Program. Those selected will have the opportunity to work on important and timely issues related to China's foreign policy and international role, to interact with senior Chinese and international scholars and experts, and to become an integral part of a growing global network of Carnegie centers, currently located in Washington, D.C., Beirut, Beijing, Brussels, Moscow and New Delhi.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL summer GLOBAL INTERNS:
-Available to intern for 10 weeks from June-August
-Contribute 35 hours per week to the center
-Be a recent graduate of or currently enrolled in a college or university
-Have a background in international relations or a desire to work in the field
Individuals should have a keen interest in international affairs, international trade, international security, or Chinese foreign policy. All interns should have working proficiency or higher in English; equivalent knowledge of Chinese is an asset, but not required.
Please note that the internship is unpaid. Housing, travel, living expenses, and medical insurance connected with the internship program must be borne by interns or by outside institutions and organizations. Interns are responsible for arranging their own travel to Beijing. Visa assistance will not be provided.
