AVANGRID Foundation Scholarships in the U.S., UK, and Spain
AVANGRID Foundation announces new scholarships for the Fall 2017-2018 academic year for postgraduate studies in US, Spain, and UK universities in the following areas of knowledge:
Renewable energy; Sustainable energy system; Environment and biodiversity;Clean combustion technologies, emissions management;Energy efficiency; Energy storage; Electric vehicle; Smart distribution networks; Information and Communication technology; Data Science; Wind power technology;Meteorology.
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. national, accepted into a master of science program and interested in areas emphasizing sustainable energy, energy efficiency and climate-related areas of study, in addition to more specific business areas at Binghamton for the fall term of the 2017-2018 academic year, 3.5 minimum GPA.
The application deadline is February 17, 2017.
The scholarships are intended for the following universities in the United States: Binghamton University, Cornell, Oregon State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Connecticut, University of Maine,and University of Rochester. Plus the University of Edinburgh in the UK and ICAI School of Engineering, Universidad Pontificia Commillas Spain.
Award provides full tuition and fees, plus a stipend of $25,200 paid in monthly installments of $2,100. This is a one year award, recipients can reapply for an additional year. This scholarship supports a masters degree program, not a PhD. During the scholarship application process, the applicant must also apply to the graduate school through their admissions process.
