National Institutes of Health (NIH) Graduate Partnerships Program (GPP)

This program links the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to select US and international universities in the training of graduate students in PhD programs in the biomedical sciences. Students fulfill their academic requirements at the university while performing part or all of their dissertation research in a research group within the NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP). The goal is to create a graduate experience that focuses on communication and collaboration skills, integration of information, and interdisciplinary investigation. Check website for participating universities and deadlines. Students submit both the university and the GPP application.
