STEM Scholarships for Hispanic Students

For many Hispanic students and their families, financing a college education is a significant barrier. Having adequate financial aid and scholarships are important in achieving the dream of a college education. Scholarships are a great form of financial aid and a good way to reduce the burden of student loans. Some scholarships are merit-based and others are need-based. Others require that you write essays to apply or that you major in a particular field of study. Scholarships are offered by many different sources: schools, individuals, private companies, government, non-profit organizations, foundations, religious groups, and other professional and social organizations. Students should apply for as many scholarships as possible to increase their chances of getting one, or better yet multiple scholarships. With the increasing costs of a college education, scholarships are more important than ever before.
