Alumni find it very rewarding to give back to their school by engaging with students and assisting in their career journeys by offering them career development guidance and advice.

We offer a variety of opportunities to connect with current students either in-person or virtually.

Alumni engagement

Alumni are able to participate in a number of student career development programs, such as mock interviews and resume reviews.

Others include:

  • Be a mentor, offering guidance and advice to students on a panel, in a class, or in a one-on-one or group setting
  • Host an on-site visit at your place of employment
  • Allow students to job shadow in your workplace
  • Post a job! Alumni can post jobs by logging in to hireBING. For help posting a job, please navigate to the Employer Help Center or email

Alumni jobs and services

As a School of Management graduate you can take advantage of many of the resources offered by SOM Career Services for career and professional development. Additionally, we share job postings that may be of interest as an alumni.

We encourage all alumni to register with our online recruitment platform, hireBING, for full access to all of our job postings.

Alumni distance mentoring program

The School of Management Career Services office is pleased to offer a distance mentoring resource that connects our dedicated alumni to our students in order to help them explore careers of interest. This program offers a wide range of brief career exploration dialogues for students to participate in throughout their time at Binghamton.

For alumni, mentoring is an impactful way to help students explore careers, industries and occupations. Some students are looking to solidify their interests, while others are looking to clarify their interests. The experiences alumni share with our students empower them to open their minds up to possible career options.

The mentoring program is a great way to stay connected to Binghamton University and the School of Management.

Our mentoring program will be rolling out to all current School of Management students and alumni in January 2019.

Learn more about the program here.

The Chronus software platform manages program enrollment of alumni and students, alumni/student matching and provides mentoring guidance.
