Higher Education Access, Retention and Success is a grant-funded program designed to assist community members in gaining access to education or previous Binghamton University or SUNY Broome students in finishing their degree. Partnership with Binghamton University,SUNY Broome, and Broome County Binghamton University Community Schools.

Student Success Coordinators

As a participant in HEARS, you will receive one on one coaching and mentoring from an assigned student success coordinator. Our coordinators are trained to help create an academic plan that works for you by learning about you and connecting you to valuable resources.

Application Assistance

New to the application process? HEARS coordinators are available to help you fill out admission and financial aid applications.  Email us at (hears@binghamton.edu) to request assistance or learn more about the admissions process to SUNY Broome, Binghamton University, or TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) programs.

Tutoring and Workshops

Through HEARS, you will have access to workshops and tutoring in convenient locations near you. Check out ourtutoring page to learn when and where tutoring takes place.  HEARS can connect you with tutors to prepare you for the TASC, college entrance exams, and SUNY Broome or Binghamton University courses.  We can offer individual or group tutoring, depending on your interest and needs.

Reverse Transfers

If you attended a community college and then transferred to a four-year university without graduating, you may be eligible to receive your Associate's Degree.  The process is very simple and will allow you to earn a two-year degree.Complete your RT application!
