Undergraduate Research Assistant

he Global Health Impact Project (global-health-impact.org) is an initiative to evaluate impact of essential medicines for malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS on global health. GHI keeps an index which scores drugs and pharmaceutical companies by their impact in order to help incentivize extending the access to essential medicines. GHI launched at the WHO in 2015. News about the project can be found under the news tab of the GHI website from NPR, Voice of America, the Wall Street Journal etc.
The responsibilities of the Global Health Impact Project Data Analyst position include building statistical models and analyzing them for the Global Health Impact Index and would work with the Modeling Team. Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and R or a similar application. Applicants should care about global health and like working with data. ll positions with the GHI project, this one included, require at least a one semester commitment of 10 hours per week. Each week you will be responsible several tasks assigned to you by your team leader, preparation of a weekly update of your progress, and mandatory attendance at a two-hour meeting. During the fall semester, this meeting will be on Thursdays from 3 - 5PM.
