From races to trophy cases
Every year, students design, fabricate and perfect vehicles as part of Binghamton Motorsports for the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) competitions.
SAE is an international society that represents engineers in all types of mobility-related professions. Every year, this organization presents 12 different collegiate competitions to challenge university-level engineering students to design, build, and test the performance of a vehicle.
The project covers every aspect of research and design and is complete when the team finishes the off-road vehicle.
The team develops and constructs a single-person, fuel-efficient vehicle that complies with the competition rules.
Formula Internal Combustion Vehicle
New this year, the team will be designing, fabricating, and testing a ⅔ scale Formula Internal Combustion vehicle.
