Joelle Mann


Joelle Mann is excited to be a lecturer for the Writing Initiative at Binghamton University. She earned her MS from Canisius College, her MA from SUNY College at Buffalo, and her PhD from Stony Brook University. Her research explores the intersections among cultural polemics, aesthetic forms, and changing media in the twenty-first century. She has published articles on contemporary literature and writing pedagogy, and has most recently been published in Critique: Contemporary Studies in Fiction, The Encyclopedia of Contemporary American Literature, and has an article forthcoming in Callaloo, A Journal of African Diaspora Arts and Letters. Joelle has taught courses at Daemen College, SUNY College at Buffalo, and Stony Brook University. Before teaching in higher education, she taught high school English in Amherst, New York.
