Drake Brown, 7, of Vestal, builds a car of construction paper and Lifesavers candy at the sixth annual Binghamton University "I'm a Complex Kid! (ICK!) Bioengineering Fair" held at Binghamton University's Innovative Technologies Complex.The fair was open to students in grades 1-5, who were introduced to bioengineering concepts such as modeling life, networking and biologically inspired design. The event features several bioengineering-based activities including kitchen cell model creation, strawberry DNA extraction, wind-powered cars, patterns in nature, bio inspired design and slime formation.
