Project Description
Meals on Wheels volunteers are considered the “heart and soul” of this program. Volunteers deliver prepared meals, act as friendly visitors and collect client contributions. Volunteers may choose to be drivers or visitors. Drivers must have their own cars with enough space to hold at least two coolers. Visitors bring the meals from the car to the person receiving it. The volunteer schedule is flexible; though long-term volunteers are most desired. We would rather not accept 1-time volunteers for this program. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals from roughly 11am-1pm or about 1.5-2 hours per day.
