Accessibility, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (AIDE)

Mission: The Accessibility, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (AIDE) Committee supports Binghamton University's mission to provide an educational environment that advances accessibility, inclusion, diversity, and equity through advocacy, raising awareness, amplifying traditionally underrepresented voices and celebrating diverse cultures and traditions.

Values

We support and strengthen our PSS community by:

(1) Providing opportunities for professional staff to educate themselves about diverse groups and behaviors that support an inclusive campus,

(2) Connecting professionals to University services and departments dedicated to these aims,

(3) Including traditionally underrepresented voices and perspectives in PSS operations, and

(4) Promoting the principles of accessibility, inclusion, diversity, and equity in campus policies and initiatives that impact professional staff.

Meetings

The AIDE Committee meets at least once a month via zoom. Anyone is welcomed to attend the meetings, for meeting information please feel free to contact Yongabi Ngoh or pss@binghamton.edu.
