Save the date for Homecoming: Oct. 5 - 7

By Steve Seepersaud

Binghamton University HomecomingWe're planning a party for this fall. It's so big that it will take over campus, and we have to reach out to you about it now. If you've been to one of these in the past, you know how much fun it is. If not, you need to be there.

This year's Homecoming will be held Friday-Sunday, Oct. 5-7. All Binghamton University graduates and their families are welcome. Homecoming continues to attract more alumni each year, and has expanded beyond campus into the Greater Binghamton region. Regardless of when you graduated, there will be something you'll enjoy, so save the date and reach out to friends so they'll join you on campus.

Imagine how it will feel to see friends, relive stories and laughs from back in the day, see places you remember fondly and visit some of the area's newest venues. While Binghamton has changed (this could be more or less depending on when you graduated), much is still the same and the enduring spirit that made Binghamton special has never left.

Homecoming's traditional events are again part of the mix: Saturday afternoon tailgate party, TIER TalksĀ® presented by M&T Bank, and Bing Brews and Bands. The Educational Opportunity Program and Black Student Union will celebrate their 50th anniversaries and Harpur's Ferry will celebrate its 45-year milestone. The Alumni Engagement team is planning a weekend of activities for alumni of all eras to relive treasured memories and get a glimpse of Binghamton University's future.

The schedule is coming together and will be posted to the Homecoming website in early summer. You'll receive an email once registration opens in late July. In the meantime, circle the date on your calendar and reach out to your friends so you can all meet up on campus.
