Katherine Reinhart, assistant professor of art history, and Marvin Bolt, curator emeritus at the Corning Museum of Glass and research fellow at Technische Universität Berlin, will consider the technical requirements and cultural meanings of glass objects in different historical moments. They will focus on how glass objects were created and their varied functions in diverse cultural and historical contexts.
