Come feel how African Drumming helps foster what the book Just Mercy calls "Drumming for Justice." Led by internationally acclaimed African peace drummer and dancer Nana Anim of the Wassa Pan Afrika Ensemble, Hinman and Mountainview residents will drum and make a rhythm-based creation, building on the fundamental themes from the Common Read experience of connection, resilience, strength, community, getting close and helping the most vulnerable.
This event is for Hinman and Mountainview first-year students.
