Project Description
Want to help our older community members in need? Faith in Action, within the Broome County Council of Churches, is currently seeking volunteers to help aging individuals within the Broome County community.

Faith in Action is seeking volunteers to assist with our Chop & Chat classes. Chop & Chat provides healthy recipes and ingredients to seniors along with the social atmosphere of a cooking class. During the classes, seniors are provided with all of the tools necessary to prepare their recipes to take home. Healthy, consistent food access and social isolation are challenges that a lot of people may face as they are getting older which is why Chop & Chat’s mission is to provide seniors an opportunity that benefits their physical as well as emotional wellbeing. If interested, feel free to contact us for more information!
