This is a collaboration effort from our area to assist in the resettlement of Afghan immigrants. We are working with Sponsor Circles that help communities to welcome these families that have been displaced after years of war. Our committee began meeting in November, and have applied through Sponsor Circles to welcome a family to resettle in our area. We have worked with REACT DC and recently had a family move to our area. We are working to support a smooth transition for them. Greatest need is for individuals who speak Dari to assist with communicating with the family.
