BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University will host a screening of director Scott Thurman’s film, “The Revisionaries,” at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 in room G-008 of the Academic A building, on campus. This event, which is free and open to the public, will include a discussion led by Adam Laats, assistant professor in the Binghamton University Graduate School of Education.

The film explores the 2010 State Board of Education meetings in Texas where board members began advancing agendas of Creationism and other religious issues in public schools. In “The Revisionaries,” Thurman explores the intellectual world of McLeroy and his allies.

The screening and discussion is sponsored by the Binghamton University Evolutionary Studies Program (EvoS) and the Graduate School of Education.
