Background

Alma Rood is a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Division of Nursing at Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She joined the undergraduate nursing programs at Decker in 2015 as an adjunct faculty member and became a full-time instructor, lecturer and course coordinator in 2017. She has extensive expertise in the long-term care, geriatric and hospice fields.

Rood also practices part-time as an admission and visit nurse for a hospice organization in the community, providing end-of-life care, and as a nursing supervisor and staff nurse at a local long-term care facility.
