Background

Jeanette Franza is a graduate of the University of Bonn (Germany), with a degree in Romance studies (French language and literature), political science and public law. Favoring an interdisciplinary approach, Franza is especially interested in the intersection of literature, politics and society. In her latest position, she was tasked with fostering European citizenship which sparked her research interest in the fields of literature and rights and the relation between race, immigration and citizenship in modern and contemporary literature and minority literature. Franza's interests also lie in postcolonial theory and the law and literature approach in literary studies.
