Background
Michael comes to Binghamton with a background of German language, literature, and culture, history, and teaching of German as a second language. He spent a year abroad at the University of Bonn getting to know the city and its people from 2016-2017. In 2018, Michael was selected to be a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the BBS Alice-Salomon-Schule in Linz, Germany, where he spent two additional years living in Bonn. His research interests include East German history and politics, second language acquisition, and German film. He also teaches German levels 2, 3, 4 IB, and 5 IB at Vestal High School.
