The Kaschak Institute for Social Justice for Women and Girls, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Binghamton University and SUNY Broome are once again partnering to host the International Women’s Day Art Exhibition.
This year’s theme is Women’s Rights Through the Decades. Submissions must be inspired by women’s experiences, resistance, and liberation across time. We welcome work from any era, any woman, and any perspective — historical, contemporary, personal, or imagined. Whether your piece reflects progress, struggle, identity, or lived experience, we encourage you to share what women’s rights mean to you.
The categories for this exhibition and all following are:
1. Visual Art: photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture
2. Writing: poetry and prose
3. Performing Arts: dance, music, theatre
4. Cinema: video, animation, film
5. Graphic Design
A prize of $250 will be awarded to the winner of each category. Entries are limited to one per contestant. The exhibition is open to all Binghamton University and SUNY Broome students, faculty, and staff.
The deadline to submit any and all work is on Sunday, March 1st @ 11:59 pm. All submissions should be directed to the form linked here
