Madhusudhan Govindaraju—whose broad responsibilities include managing the university’s admission of graduate students, implementing campus-wide strategies for graduate student recruitment, providing oversight of International Student and Scholar Services and International Education and Global Initiatives, and serving as the Senior International Officer––was appointed the Vice Provost of International Education and Global Affairs (IEGA) in June 2020.
He is committed to ensuring the university’s continued growth and success as a premier choice for international education. He provides strategic leadership, works in collaboration with leaders across campus, and engages in new initiatives and partnerships within the campus and educational institutions throughout the world. He serves as the co-chair for one of the university’s strategic priorities, the goal of which is to support, promote and enhance strategic internationalization efforts through high-impact learning, teaching, research and engagement.
