Brett S. Levinson

Professor

Comparative Literature

Background

Levinson is currently completing two books. The first, entitled The State/Market Duopoly Between Two Nihilisms: Meditations on Things Formerly Known as Politics and Thought, is an analysis of the relation of contemporary political and philosophical thought, on the one hand, and the global transition from state to market, on the other. The second, Literary Politics in Latin America: the Poetics and Practice of Globalization, represents a reconsideration of Latin American culture and politics via a study of the relation of literature to other forms of production.
