Alumni volunteer award recipients chosen

The Binghamton University Alumni Association selected four Binghamton graduates to honor with Medals of Distinguished Service, recognizing their volunteer engagement with the University. Medals are presented on a biennial basis. Nominations come from schools and departments within the University.

The 2022 honorees are:

  • Subhachandra Chandra, MS ’95 ― director of engineering, Ghost Autonomy (nominated by the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science)
  • Tim Kelly ’94 ― vice president of operational excellence at Groundswell (nominated by the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science)
  • Taris T. Rodney ’08 ― child protective attorney, City of New York (nominated by the Educational Opportunity Program)
  • Simone Sterling ’98 ― vice president, senior program manager at Citibank, N.A. (nominated by Harpur College of Arts and Sciences)
