The Office of Institutional Research & Analysis (OIRA) accurately and objectively compiles, analyzes, and delivers information about the Binghamton University community to internal and external constituencies to support strategic decision-making through meaningful insights informed by accurate and comprehensive data.

OIRA also complies with federal, state, and SUNY-System mandated reporting and responds to numerous information requests.

OIRA Goals

OIRA's core activities are achieved by turning data into actionable insights and are driven by the following overarching goals:

  • Providing accurate data to internal and external constituents in a timely manner.
  • Conducting analytical studies to support University leaders to make data-informed decisions.
  • Supporting the University's strategic plan to achieve institutional goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Providing quality customer service to university and external constituents.
