Thanksgiving Break

The residence halls will remain open for the Thanksgiving break (Wed., Nov. 23 - Sun., Nov. 27).

Residents remaining on campus during the break

  • Services will be limited.
  • Area offices will be closed.
  • Dining will be available throughout the break but options will be limited. There will be no on-campus dining available on Thanksgiving day (November 25).
  • Buses will be running on schedule only until noon on Wednesday. Buses will not be operating Thursday (11/25) to Sunday (11/27).
  • Keep your keys with you at all times! If you are locked out of your room, the response time to key you in could be lengthy. 
  • Close your windows throughout break!

Residents not remaining on campus during break must:

  • Completely empty/remove all of your trash from your cans/recycling bins .
  • Unplug all electrical devices (except refrigerators).
  • Close and lock your windows.
  • Take your keys with you. 
  • If you plan on leaving your car on campus during breaks, vehicles must be parked in these lots: G1, M1, O2, S1, Y4, ZZ North or South.

Thanksgiving break transit service

OCCT will end service during Thanksgiving Break with the last full day of service on Tuesday, Nov. 22. A limited service will be offered until 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23. The limited service on Nov. 23 will be listed on the OCCT website. Full service will resume Monday, Nov. 28. 

There will be no BC Transit service Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, but service will be offered during the rest of break.  For updated schedule information, visit the BC Transit website at gobroomecounty.com/transit/routes. Students, faculty and staff are able to ride BC Transit at no cost with the scan of their Binghamton University ID.
