Background

Ankit Bansal is a tenure-track assistant professor in the School of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering. He obtained his PhD in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University. 

After finishing his doctoral studies, he worked as a postdoctoral associate at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications, University of Minnesota. His postdoc involved a collaboration with the Kern Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery at the Mayo Clinic. 

Bansal's research focuses on solving complex scheduling and resource allocation problems encountered within healthcare delivery and production systems. He is also interested in the theoretical and computational aspects of integer programming, bilevel optimization, robust optimization and large-scale optimization.
