Undergraduate Research Assistant - Lab Tasks and Performance Work
Description:
Research Assistants will be responsible for administering RMR and GXT testing sessions, preparing the lab and equipment for participant testing, collecting and organizing participant survey responses, entering and managing data, attending regular lab meetings, reviewing relevant literature, assisting with health science communication, contributing to abstract writing and research paper submission, and supporting the dissemination of findings at nationwide conferences.
This position provides experience in clinical research methods, metabolic testing, exercise physiology, data collection, literature review, scientific writing, and research dissemination. Students interested in medicine, healthcare, exercise science, public health, and clinical researchers are encouraged to apply.
Students involved in the lab will be required to complete and obtain the following once accepted: CITI certification, CPR/AED training and Metabolic Cart training prior to assisting with testing procedures.
