I’m originally from China, but Binghamton is my home away from home. I speak Chinese Mandarin, English and basic Japanese. I am an avid traveler, a food lover and a quote/book lover.
Six years studying and living in the U.S. helped me realize that I want to support students in their globe-trotting education experience. I obtained my master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs in Higher Education from Binghamton (go Bearcats!) so I could pursue working in international education.
Binghamton is a truly inclusive and welcoming university for international students. At first I thought there was no way to translate “inclusiveness” into Chinese, but the Chinese word “兼容并蓄“describes Binghamton very well.
There are so many ways Binghamton sparks my passion for life. I love to read, and had the opportunity to meet a famous New York author during a workshop at our downtown campus. Women’s education rights is a cause of mine, and my fundraising-class provided me with the opportunity to volunteer on a campaign for a local non-profit organization that supports moms to complete a post-secondary education.
What do you like? What do you want to pursue? Adventures await! I believe Binghamton University will inspire and nurture you as it does for me. I look forward to talking to you and meeting you on campus!
