Activate your Computer Account and BMail

BMail is your official Binghamton e-mail address, and is where all university communications are sent.

Your Binghamton University Computer Account is used to access all online resources on campus: housing request form, Brightspace, MyBinghamton, public computers on campus, Internet connection, BU BRAIN Self-Service, etc. You access your computer account by logging in with your user ID and password.

To activate your account, you will need to set an account password:

How to Set Your Account Password and 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)

  1. Go to https://password.binghamton.edu/claim
  2. Enter your Binghamton University username
  3. Select a contact to receive a One-Time-Password
  4. Check your email for a message with a code and enter it in the box on the Password Portal
  5. Set your new password
  6. You will see a confirmation that your password for all accounts was set.
  7. After setting your password set up 2FA by following the instructions in the support guide.

You can now login to check your Bmail. You will be required to enroll in Google 2-Step Verification for your Binghamton Google Workspace (BMail, Drive, etc.). After you log into your account, you will see a pop-up and should follow the prompts.
