Clubs and Organizations

I’m reaching out to tell you about how to get involved on campus. Binghamton has over 450 student clubs and organizations. Through these organizations and clubs, I have met my closest friends, discovered my passion for education and teaching, and learned how to advocate on behalf of students.

As I look back on my collegiate career, the two main organizations that made my experience at Binghamton worthwhile were J.U.M.P and the Student Association. These organizations have given me so many opportunities and gave me another family besides the one I have at home.

During my four years here, I have been a part of the executive board as the Public Relations Committee as well as the Mentoring Committee for the Juvenile Urban Multicultural Program (J.U.M.P.). Working with J.U.M.P. ignited my passion to teach and work in the educational field to help find solutions and solve systemic inequity. Serving as president of the Student Association allowed me to use my voice and my platform to advocate for student needs.

How do you learn more about these 450+ organizations? During your first week on campus, you'll have the chance to attend University Festival  (UFest) where students from some of these organizations will welcome you with open arms. Don't be afraid to look into organizations outside of your niche -- you may just discover your passion along the way.

Congratulations on becoming a Bearcat! Welcome to the family!
