Seeking cisgender men for a study on vocal effort (paid)

The Vocal Effort Study is researching to investigate the factors (e.g., gender) that affect the amount of effort a person uses when they speak. If eligible, participants will be asked to speak at a loud volume, like you would in a restaurant. The lab will then collect data from a microphone and participant self-ratings.

The study is recruiting people who:
- were assigned male at birth (AMAB)
- are between 18-50 years of age
- have a healthy voice function
- speak English as their first language

The experiment takes place at Binghamton University’s JC Building, 10 Gannet Drive (next to the Johnson City Walmart), and will take approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete. Compensation is $20/hour.
