Background

Bohary has had 29 solo exhibitions since 1976 at major venues. His work has been included in numerous group exhibitions since 1971 in the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Denmark, and Taiwan. Bohary's exhibitions have been reviewed in Arts Magazine and the New York Times. Selected public collections: Corcoran Gallery, Hood Museum of Art, Greenville Arts Center, Snite Museum, McNay Museum, University of Kentucky Museum, Valparaiso University Museum, and the Tyler Art Center. He is the recipient of two CAPS Grants, a National Endowment for the Arts Grant, an American Academy and Institute of Arts & Letters Award, a Pollack Krasner Foundation Grant, and numerous awards from The National Academy. Bohary has been a member of the National Academy since 1992 where he has been a member of the council and the school committee.
