Withers' research program focuses on two facets of STEM education reform: i) evaluating the impact of pedagogical approaches, particularly innovative use of assessment, on student learning and ii) understanding the factors, both individual and institutional, that influence broad adoption of evidence-based strategies by STEM faculty.
