Biomedical Engineering

Background

Qianbin Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He earned his PhD in material physics and chemistry under the guidance of Professor Lei Jiang at Beihang University in 2015. Following a one-year postdoctoral training at New York University, he joined Professor Zhigang He's Lab at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow. Before coming to Binghamton, he workeed at the Biomedical Engineering Department at UMass Amherst as a research assistant professor.

Wang's research primarily focuses on developing biomechanical platforms to investigate the molecular and genetic mechanisms involved in neural degeneration and regeneration.
