The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) Zoom Series for January 2026 is here! The PLC at Binghamton University is hosting a series of virtual programs designed to familiarize family members with University resources that can better support their students' success.
How is Binghamton University preparing your students for future success? We invite you to a discussion about exciting changes and initiatives in undergraduate education at Binghamton. From tackling the complex challenges of artificial intelligence to launching innovative academic initiatives or increasing opportunities for high-impact experiences like undergraduate research, we know that the futures of our students are rooted in the educational experiences we provide today. And just as we are committed to keeping our academic initiatives relevant and rigorous, we are also committed to providing safety nets and support — things like academic support initiatives and reimagined First Year Experience courses — that help students navigate their journey with us. Join us for a conversation about our commitment to help your students not just succeed but reach new heights.
Featured presenters will include: Donald Loewen, vice provost for undergraduate education; Paul Gorelik, associate director for undergraduate education; Steve Ortiz, executive director of Binghamton University Scholars Program; Amber Stallman, registrar and assistant provost for student success.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
The PLC Series will continue this February. Upcoming programs and topics will be announced through the Bearcat Family Portal, via email and on social media.

The Binghamton University Global Networking Group (GNG) aims to promote meaningful interactions between current students, develop intercultural communication skills, and strengthen community among students. The program also strives to be as inclusive as possible - all members of the Binghamton University community are welcome to come to GNG events, and there is no strict commitment. GNG is simply a series of casual, fun social events for globally minded Bearcats. To get further updates on the events themselves, please complete our mailing list sign-up here.
