In 2025, Binghamton University Center for Community Schools (BUCCS) launched their Family Engagement Institute. The Family Engagement Institute leverages its experience in research and high-impact strategies to provide professional development, serve as a thought partner, and develop resources for families, schools, and community partners on family engagement and related topics.

Resources:
BUCCS LIFE: A multi-session, K-12 school team, project-based leadership institute designed for
school-based teams to develop Family Engagement Leaders. Family Engagement Leaders will build their understanding of essential research and
effective family engagement practices and serve as ambassadors for family engagement.
Family engagement teams will collaborate to create a research-based project to improve
student and school success while strengthening engagement capacity of educators, families,
and community members.
