About the clinic
The Binghamton University Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic is offering this program, which was developed by two licensed speech-language pathologists, Rodney Gabel and Cody Dew. Both have experience providing therapy services to people who stutter. Therapy services will be administered by graduate student clinicians under the supervision of Gabel, Dew and four additional speech-language pathologists.
About the therapy program
The program has been designed using over 50 years of evidence-based practice. It includes individual and group therapy. During individual therapy sessions, clients will discuss their personal experiences with stuttering, develop their own goals, and learn about stuttering and helpful approaches to communication. During group therapy, clients will meet and talk with others who stutter to share experiences, receive support from other group members who have similar experiences, and explore therapy topics together.
