Passport to Promise
Promise Scholars' signature cohort-based program offering high-touch support for second-year students
Who it serves:
Second-year students who demonstrate academic promise and persistence but may need consistent connections, community or access to support.
What it includes:
- A structured cohort experience beginning sophomore year
- Strengths-based coaching and advising
- Embedded academic and social-emotional support
- Targeted workshops on faculty connection, scholarship access, imposter syndrome and career readiness
- Ongoing engagement through graduation

- 25 students
- Applications open January 2026
- Rolling admission based on space availability
While the first cohort officially launches in fall 2026, the Promise Scholars team will begin engaging with referrals and applicants starting spring 2026, offering individualized support, connection, and guidance to students who need it now.
PATHWAYS
Flexible, just-in-time support
PATHWAYS is a semester-based, opt-in support option for students at any point in their undergraduate journey who may not fit into other Promise pathways.
PATHWAYS provides:
- Short-term, individualized support
- Help navigating academic, registration, financial, or personal barriers
- Connection to campus resources and trusted contacts
- A clear plan to help students regain momentum and stay on track
PATHWAYS recognizes that not all challenges are long-term—but all deserve timely support.
Referrals and Getting Connected
Referrals my be submitted at any time by faculty, staff and community partners.
Students are also encouraged to self-refer by filling out a Connection Card.
