Students help drive donor increase and build tradition of philanthropy

Telefund student callers were the main driver of the increase in donors, employed in the academic year to raise support for Binghamton.

  • “The student who called me was amazing. She was easygoing, confident, informative, respectful, and I really enjoyed our conversation. I never make donations over the phone, but that’s how great she was.” — Joanne Ruiz, Binghamton parent and donor to the Binghamton Fund for Excellence
  • The telefund raised over $255,000 to support Binghamton, a 35% increase over the previous academic year.

  • To start or reinforce their giving, 235 students made a gift of $20.22 or more in recognition of their graduation year. They each received a philanthropy cord to wear at Commencement in May.

Let’s keep the momentum going!
