Since its inception in 1950, Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University is committed to a curriculum that is informed by its guiding philosophy, "From Breadth through Depth to Perspective."
Students follow a unique program and build upon a broad-based General Education curriculum that emphasizes writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. They also select a major that provides an in-depth understanding of content and problem-solving skills in an area of specialization.
