The Property Control Office is assigned the task of administering the Property Control System (PCS) and ensuring that the campus abides by all State and Research Foundation requirements.
The State University of New York Property Control System was developed by SUNY-Central Administration to provide uniformity in property accountability throughout the SUNY System, and to be in conformity with regulations as required by the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), the Division of Budget (DOB), the SUNY Research Foundation, and the Office of the State Controller (OSC).
The Property Control Office is dedicated to assisting the campus in many areas. We attach and issue asset decals for equipment with the criteria set for each expenditure area. (see Policies and Procedures) In addition, Property Control provides a service to all departments on campus for the pick up and re-distribution of surplus equipment throughout Binghamton University.
Any Binghamton employee can advertise the availability of Binghamton-owned equipment and supplies on Binghamton Surplus Swap for other Binghamton staff or faculty to obtain for work-related purposes.
