Amanda Joy Padwa (she/her) joined the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPPS) in October 2018 as the administrative coordinator for the Office of Student Affairs, but has been at Binghamton University since February 2017. She has an English honors degree from SUNY Oneonta and worked in both the private and non-profit sectors before arriving at the University. Her specialty areas at SOPPS are the tutoring program, special events, student travel, mentorship programs, student enrichment, the food pantry and the professional clothing closet. She has been recognized as a Career Champion by the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development. In May 2021 and again in May 2023, the students of SOPPS voted her the Staff Member of the Year, which were the high points in her career. Padwa also volunteers in animal rescue and has a house full of pets, of which she will show pictures to anyone. Other interests include houseplants (she has over 200 and will bring you one if you want!), reading, being lazy and watching TV after a long day, and making people laugh. If you're having a rough day, come to see her for a silly joke and a piece of emergency chocolate. Amanda Padwa
