Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society (XAE)

On February 7, 2004, current Senior Academic Counselor and BU and EOP graduate, Vanessa N. Young, founded the Gamma Delta Chapter at Binghamton University. At this first induction ceremony, the academic achievements of 41 students were recognized. Honorary inductees were Robert James, Associate Vice Provost for Opportunity Programs, State University of New York and Rodger Summers, Vice President for Student Affairs. Dr. Elbert Saddler, the founder of Chi Alpha Epsilon, was the guest speaker.

The Gamma Delta Chapter strives to promote continued high academic standards, foster increased communication among its members, and honor academic excellence. Starting in 2011, Student Support Services Program (SSS) students were also able to become participants of XAE, and this helped to expand the number of inductees at annual XAE induction ceremonies.

Eligible students will receive an invitation to be inducted for the fall semester. For more information regarding Chi Alpha Epsilon, please contact our XAE Advisor at (607)777-2791.
