The BAC is located within the Psychology Department at Binghamton University and specializes in evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, particularly social phobia and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health problem in the United States, affecting over 19 million Americans of all ages. In addition, anxiety disorders are associated with decreased quality of life and personal distress. Further, anxiety disorders are estimated to cost the United States over 42 billion dollars annually, accounting for almost one-third of the entire mental health costs in America.
At the Binghamton Anxiety Clinic, we are committed to reducing the personal and societal burdens associated with anxiety disorders. The therapists at the BAC employ cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in both individual and group format. The success of cognitive-behavioral therapy for treating anxiety disorders is supported by a wealth of research, and we strive to incorporate the most recent treatment advances.
All of us at the Binghamton Anxiety Clinic are invested in helping people in our community suffering from anxiety. Please feel free to review the information presented throughout our website, and if we can be of any further assistance please contact us at 607-777-5006.
