Comprehensive Anxiety Assessment:
The first step towards relief from anxiety is a comprehensive assessment. The development of a clear picture of the ways that anxiety impacts each patient, and the types of anxiety that they experience, is essential for making informed treatment recommendations. Our clinic offers state-of-the-art assessment focused on anxiety and related concerns. Information is gathered during detailed structured clinical interviews and via self-report questionnaires. The assessment process typically takes about 3 to 4 hours. For children, information is gathered from both the child and parents. Assessment services are offered separately from therapy and we are happy to provide these specialized services for individuals that intend to seek services elsewhere or who have worked with ongoing providers to decide that a comprehensive anxiety assessment would be of benefit to them. Patients are provided with a detailed psychological assessment report based on the information gathered.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy:
The Binghamton Anxiety Clinic offers Cognitive-Behavioral therapy to members of the community (including University students and employees). We typically offer treatment for both adults and children suffering from Social Phobia or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Sessions are typically held once a week, with treatment lasting for approximately 12-16 weekly sessions. The exact number of sessions is determined based on each patient's needs. Please note that the number of therapy slots available varies based on patient interest. However, if we are not able to offer therapy services, we work with clients to recommend other alternatives.
Fees:
The staff of the Binghamton Anxiety Clinic are pleased to offer these state-of-the-art services at significantly reduced fees. Fees per session are determined by annual income and number of dependents. If you are interested in having us calculate your fee, just give us a call.
How to schedule a Comprehensive Anxiety Assessment:
If you are interested in finding out more about receiving clinical services through the Binghamton Anxiety Clinic, please contact us by phone at (607) 777-5006. When you call, a clinician will ask you a number of questions to get a sense of what your primary concerns are, and if it seems beneficial to schedule a comprehensive anxiety assessment. Additionally, we will calculate your per-visit fee and answer any questions you may have about our clinic or the services we provide. If it seems like you would be better served elsewhere, we will do our best to refer you to a more appropriate treatment provider.
