Cara Ponomarev is the Director of Field Education in the Department of Social Work at Binghamton University, a position she has held since 2023. She joined the University in 2018 and previously served as Co-Director of Field Education from 2019 to 2023. Prior to her work at Binghamton University, Ponomarev held multiple administrative roles within the Geriatrics Division at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her experience there included serving as the Deputy Director of Special Projects for the New York City Elder Abuse Center (NYCEAC) and as the Assistant Director and Program Administrator for the Translational Research Institute on Pain in Later Life (TRIPLL). Ponomarev is a graduate of Binghamton University.
