Emily Whitaker currently serves as an admissions and student services specialist in the Department of Social Work at Binghamton University, where she supports enrollment and recruitment efforts for the MSW program, primarily working with online students. She previously worked in Harpur Academic Advising, advising students from all majors, and later spent a year exclusively advising biology students. Whitaker earned her BS in Communication Studies from SUNY Oneonta before returning to her hometown to complete her MS in Student Affairs Administration at Binghamton University. During graduate school, her “home” on campus was the Speaking Center, where she served as a graduate assistant.
